Coating Failure
by Daniel from Fort Pierce, Florida on December 28, 2016
I am prepping the wood pickup deck on my 1956 Dodge truck. I spent a lot of time researching the appropriate product to use, that would last a long time in Florida. I finally decided on the Petit Flagship Varnish 2015. I put a few thin layers on the dry pine, sanding between coats. By the third coat I noticed the varnish was wrinkling in some spots on the wood. It looked like the pattern of finger prints but much larger. I sanded this down and applied another coat only to have the same spot wrinkle. After several weeks of drying I started to sand the spots down and noticed they had not dried but were gummy. I am very disappointed it the performance of the product and the project has all but been ruined.

Varnish for My 1959 Chris Craft
by John from Kingston, Oklahoma on June 21, 2016
Nice good product with good working characteristics. Once the can is opened though you need to use the product. I would recommend it if you want something you can trust to work as claimed. Its expensive so buy it when you expect to use it.

Z-Spar Flagship Varnish by Pettiti
by Mark from De Pere, Wisconsin on April 25, 2016
Iboats.com delivered on time with no hassle, I will definitely be using them as a supplier in the future. I am very satisfied with the performance of the Z-Spar Flagship Varnish by Pettit, I've used this varnish for 6 years and it has very good consistency, flows very well and dries ready for the next coat in 24 hrs., it has a nice golden hue which adds nicely to my teak's color without loosing any wood grain definition.
