Zinc Adjustable Outboard Kicker Motor Steering Connector Kit - Panther

OK - first I have to say how AMAZED I am with the speed of shipping!! I ordered this on the 4th and it came on the 6th! Really? From IA to WA in 2 days with standard Priority Mail!?! That is awesome, they must have shipped it like 5min after I placed my order! The bracket works perfect to connect my 70hp Evinrude to my 8hp Mercury kicker. I was able to cut it to length install it in 20min or less and I was taking my time. This item also comes with quick disconnect spring loaded fittings, I almost ordered the set separately but I'm glad I didnt. You just pull the ends back and you can pop the bracket right off, leaving the connector arm on the motors so you can pop it back on in 2 seconds. I can tilt either or both motors fully up with the bracket connected. It turns the kicker with no slop at all and I can crank the main motor lock to lock. I havent gone out on the water yet but I already know it will work perfect. What a great deal. Thanks iBoats - I WILL be back!

Purchased this item to assist in steering of my small 2 HP kicker motor. Super easy to attach the ball joint to the main engine steering arm. Also super easy to connect and disconnect the steering rod, from the steering arms of both engines and this is a great convenience. This thing works just as advertised and is a great asset in helping to steer "small" motors. About the only suggestion I could make would be to increase the size of if to 1/2 inch...3/8 inch, although very adequate for my application has a slight tendency to bend and may not be enough for larger kicker engines. I am very pleasaed with how it works so far...well worth the purchase price in function and ease of use.
