Bruno Vassel III, Chairman & CEO. Bruno brings a total of 44 years of general management, sales and marketing experience to iboats. He spent 13 years in New York City working in International Marketing, International Human Resources, and Worldwide Training and Development at Avon Products, Inc., a billion dollar corporation. As a senior executive, Bruno then helped take the publicly traded company, Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc., from $49 to $200 million in three years. He subsequently started and ran an international consulting company as an entrepreneur for eight years, and then helped to start and build a rapid-growth food supplement company and then take it public. Bruno has written two books, speaks six languages, and holds a BA degree from Brigham Young University, 1967, plus one year of MBA at BYU. He is married to Carolyn Kay Vassel and they are the parents of five children and 21 grandchildren. Bruno is active in the LDS Church and has spent many years enjoying boating, fishing, sailing, diving, skiing and the outdoors.
Bruno Vassel IV, President. A co-founder of iboats.com, Bruno brings strong Internet experience to iboats.com. He helped design the overall iboats business model and continues to be very involved in operations, sales and new business development. Bruno is married to Heidi Vassel and they are the parents of three children. Bruno enjoys scuba diving, boating, and sailing and is an avid pilot of both sailplanes and powered aircraft.
Ben Rowell, Sr. V.P. Business Development. A boating industry veteran with over 30 years industry sales and management experience at Mercury Marine and Q Lube Marine Services. Ben has an intimate understanding of all phases of the marine industry, has managed rapid sales growth, and can open many doors to senior industry executives. Accessories Marketing Director and Regional Sales Manager at Mercury Marine. General Manager of Q Lube Marine Services. B.A. from the University of Mass., Amherst.
Gordon Peterson, CFO. Gordon has over 14 years of global financial management and corporate finance experience based in the USA and Europe, for the last 6years as CFO for iboats.com. Other positions include Corporate Treasurer, Director of Strategic Planning, International Finance Director, Corporate Internal Auditor and Financial Analyst with billion-dollar multinationals Franklin Covey, Magnetek, Aramark and Commerzbank AG. Gordon has a deep history with iboats.com going back to its beginnings as a consultant at start up, iboats.com’s first round investor, and then CFO. Gordon received a MBA in International Management from Thunderbird’s Garvin School of International Management and a BA Finance and BA German from the University of Utah. Gordon enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, skiing, and being in the great outdoors.
Brian Mellenthin, Director of IT. Manages the day-to-day programming operations and offers management a deep understanding of the technology used (database management, systems analysis, understanding of programming). BYU Techno-MBA graduate with an undergraduate degree in Economics from BYU.
