I’m not alone when I say that boating makes my Top Ten list for most relaxing & borderline-therapeutic activities. Sadly, a lack of understanding, research/preparation, and overall inexperience will create the polar opposite experience for some.
Keeping your boat’s Navigation Lights up to regulations will aid in keeping you both legal and safe, which is well demonstrated in the USCG’s Recreational Boating Statistics 2010 report, which indicates that 82 accidents in the US during 2010 could have been prevented by having adequate Nav lights & equipment.
