Nautical Humor

1) A sailor, after running aground on a sand bar, paid a passing fisherman fifty dollars to pull him off with his boat. After he was off the bar, he said to the fisherman, “At those prices, I should think you could make a real living pulling people off night and day.”

“Can’t,” replied the fisherman. “At night I haul sand for the bar.”

2) Two fishermen were on opposite sides of a lake. One yelled across to the other saying; “Any luck?” The second yelled back; “Real good here!”

Having not caught a thing the first wanted to get on the same side but couldn’t find a way to do it. He shouted to the other; “How do I get on the other side?” The second answered; “You are on the other side.”
