Pro Kat has suceeded in putting big Kat ride into a smaller package, with great results. The 22 footer quickly jumps onto a plane and skips over the chop at around 35 kt cruise. The twin hulls provide a smooth, dry ride. Quality construction is evedenced by the underdeck stringer system composed of multi directional fiberglass which keeps weight down and strength high. A multitude of great fishing features are built in and the knowledgable owner/fisherman of this Kat, has rigged it right.

The cockpit is open and clear for great fishing. Twin jump seats aft, when needed, easily deploy for comfortable seating. Two 13.5 gallon baitwells are on either side of the transom splashwell. A transom door leads to swim deck with fold down ladder. Fish boxes are in deck both port and starboard. Recessed rod storage is found under each caprail and the vertical rod holders are too numerous to count. There is more rod storage on the comfortable leanng post and the storage in the big center console is fantastic. As well as providing space for an enclosed head, always a nice feature, there is room for all the gear needed for a day on the water. The cockpit is self bailing and has a good quality non skid to keep you upright when the weather is working against you. Forward is a large casting platform with even more in deck stowage lockers. There are removeable cushions to make the casting platform do double duty as a sun lounge.

A pair of barely broken in Suzuki 4 strokes hang on the transom. These 150 HP powerplants still have 4 years left on the transferrable warranty. Suzuki has really emerged as one of the premier 4 stroke manufacturers of 4 stroke outboards. While not as widely known as the two big guys, once a Suzuki owner, you will most likely stay a Suzuki owner. The 174.9 cubic inch displacement on these engines leads the class. It has often been said that when it comes to power, you cannot beat cubic inches to provide it. Together with dual overhead cams, enhanced air intake system, multi stage induction,and sequential multi-point electronic fuel injection and you end up with smooth power and higher torque. These engines also run smooth and quiet thanks to counter balaning and a vibration absorbing thrust system. Hydraulic steering, trim tabs, and single lever controls make operation smooth. A full compliment of engine monitoring gauges are easily seen on the helm.
