Description
Beautiful and sturdy, responsive and easy to sail! You will love the feel when Happy comes alive under the canvas - it is thrilling! Happy is rigged to sail by yourself, but there's lots of room (comfortable room) for company as well! Happy was built at the (Howard) Hughes boat works in Ontario Canada - hull number 100 - a good one. You know by then that the workers have perfected all the little things they need to turn out a wonderful product! I was told by the marine surveyor that Mr. Hughes built his boats so well that the shipyard only operated for one year as he felt he could not make enough money on each one to justify the cost of production. As I'm sailing along, I often get great compliments from boaters with much bigger, fancier yachts who holler "What kind of boat is that anyway?" Ever since I bought my little farm (1999) and moved my horses in with me, I've sailed less and less and feel now it's someone else's turn to have the thrill of owning an exceptional sailboat. Builder: Hughes Dimensions LOA: 25' Beam: 7'6 Draft: 3'6 Engines Engine(s): Mercury Engine(s) HP: 15 Hours: 60 Cruising Speed: 7 Max Speed: 7 Accommodations sleeps 5, Porta potty Electronics depth finder, auto helm, VHF radio Sails and Rigging roller furling jib custom made in 2000, Main sail purchased new in 1999 Additional Could include Boson’s and or top climber. (a device used to climb the mast by yourself) This can be done while boat is in motion. This device has been used, and works very well.
