Bay Craft boats is a family owned business that has been manufacturing flats boats since 1986.
Pete Lopez, the owner from the very start, is committed to building the highest quality shallow water fishing boats with a fishing point of view. Designing every boat with the serious angler in mind and for the first time boat owners at an affordable price.
Bay Craft boats presently manufactures four models of shallow water flats boats. Bay Craft boats are hand crafted individually produced. Attention to quality is evident at first glimpse with the molded diamond non-skid decks, cockpit and hatches to the self bailing hatch gutters, oval live wells and stainless steel hardware.
Bay Craft boats craftsmanship is even evident behind the scenes. All boats are manufactured with 100% composite materials NO WOOD TO ROT, using leading suppliers to ensure that only the best raw material are used .The stringer system are molded foam filled and glassed in. The transoms are built with a high density foam fiber. The one piece molded deck, cockpit liner and fish boxes design gives the boats a stronger unibody construction. Decks and hulls are infused together with a bonding fiberglass mixture forming one single unit.
The 175 Flats Explorer is a great riding boat for the flats and bays, has a 7'1" beam very stable and only weighs 750lb to go in shallow water. Its reverse chime cuts threw the waves pushing them away from the hull and keeping you dry. It also has an intergraded flip-up bench seat, oval live wells, built in cooler and more.
The 180 Tunnel Explorer is a great boat for the flats, weighs only 700 lbs runs in 6 of water and only drafts 6 with its huge front casting deck, self bailing cockpit, jack plate and trim tabs as a standard features. This boat will leave the competition stuck in the mud.
