York River State Park -

This park is known for its rare and delicate environment, where freshwater and saltwater meet to create a habitat rich in marine and plant life. Motorboats are allowed only on the river. Rental boats have no motors. Croaker Landing, the park boat launch facility, provides access to the York River and includes a parking area, a dock and restrooms. Guided canoe trips, beginning at the visitor center, provide visitors a lesson in salt-marsh ecology while they tour beautiful wetlands surrounding Taskinas Creek. Paddleboats, hydro bikes and jonboats can be rented for use on the pond; rented canoes are available for use on the creek and the river Easter through the end of October. The York River, where catfish, spot, croaker, striper and crabs are plentiful, is accessed at Croaker Landing boat launch and requires a valid Virginia saltwater fishing license. Taskinas Creek, containing catfish and white perch, requires either a valid saltwater or freshwater Virginia fishing license.

Dexter State Recreation Site -

Zipping down Highway 58 east of Eugene, you'll suddenly find yourself on driving along side a long, skinny reservoir. In spring, summer and fall, the Dexter and Lookout Point Reservoirs are dotted with boats. Whether you like to fish or boat, you'll find a pair of convenient day-use parks on the lake. Services include picnicking, fishing, hiking, boating, horse trail, boat ramp, walking trail, lake and more.

Bidwell-Sacramento River State Parm -

The main activity to be enjoyed at Bidwell-Sacramento River State Park is bank or boat fishing for salmon, steelhead and shad. The next popular activity is 'cruising down the river' on inner tubes, canoes, or kayaks.

Tolovana Beach State Recreation Site -

Just a few steps down from the parking lot, you’re on the beach with a spectacular view of Haystack Rock. A short walk down this lovely beach and you’ll be at the rock’s base. An amazing natural formation, many visitors feel the need for a closer look (but please don’t climb!). Enjoy the beauty of the formation, tidepools around the base and abundance of wildlife -- the area is a wildlife refuge. Services include picnicking, beach, fishing, marine, and beach access year round.

Dabney State Recreation Area -

The classic summer place, Dabney has been a popular cooling-off swimming and picnic spot for over 50 years. It's easy to see why when you visit. The lower, older part of the park at the west end features an asphalt trail leading down to a classic swimming hole. Large picnic tables and electric cooking stations are on hand and fill up quickly on hot days. The newer parts of the park feature a covered, reservable picnic shelter and trails winding through tall bamboo, horsetail, cottonwoods and alders. Port Of Bandon -

The boat ramp is open year round. A fish cleaning station and fresh water to hose down your boat is all right here. The popular crab dock is one of the newest and most stable on the Oregon Coast. Utah Field House Of Natural History State Park & Museum -

Step back in time as you walk through the dinosaur garden. Look up to a full-size replica of a 20-foot tall Tyrannosaurus with six-inch knife-like teeth or look down on a ferocious four-foot meat-eating Coelophysis. Seventeen life-size prehistoric animal replicas line the garden paths. Ancient fossil skeletal reproductions, archaeological and geological exhibits, fluorescent minerals and other natural history aspects of the Uinta Mountains and Uinta Basin are featured in the Utah Field House of Natural History museum.
