2004 Contender 27 Open powered by twin Yamaha 200 HPDI engines with less than 300 hours. This boat is what you would call a FISHING MACHINE with a lot of extras including a custom T-Top with isinglass enclosure, Lee Top Gun Outriggers, and a Removable Crows Nest. The twin Yamaha 200 HPDI’s is the perfect combination of both performance, fuel efficiency, and reliability. The boat is kept out of the water in covered dry rack storage with no bottom paint. Standard fishing features include raised livewells, one 400 quart forward fishbox, and two 225 quart aft fishboxes. Additional photos will be coming shortly.
Mechanical Equipment
This Contender 27 Open is powered by twin Yamaha 200 HPDI’s which are very performance minded, giving you 2-Stroke performance with 4-Stroke gas consumption. The motors have less than 300 hours and are still under Yamaha extended warranty. This Contender holds 250 gallons of fuel for those extended Bahamas trips.
Electronics and Navigational Equipment
Equipped with a Garmin 188C GPS Map Sounder to aid you in navigating to those secret fishing holes. There is also a Icom VHF radio with a top end Shakespeare Antenna so you are never out of touch with the world. It also includes a top of the line stereo system so you can enjoy your favorite tunes while catching the big ones.
Deck and Hull Equipment
This Contender has a 24.5 degree Deep Vee hull which will slice through those waves with ease and the 8’10” beam is very stable while at anchor or drifting. You will notice that this is a great all around layout with the raised livewell in the transom so you can say bye bye to sore backs from those floor livewells. There are two Frigid Rigid coolers which are known to keep ice for up to 5 days. Also you will find a single level cockpit along with a transom door leading to a dive ladder for easy entry to and from the boat. There are removable dive tank racks for up to 8 tanks and you will find flush mounted Lee rod holders all around the boat and the console.
