Dear Boating Guy,
"I just moved from a very active boating community to a place that doesn’t have the same dedication to boating. I miss having a group of people around that share my same interests. Before I moved someone was always around that could talk about engine troubles, fishing spots, or the best way to do something. As funny as it sounds, this is the first year I’ve had to winterize my boat and I don’t have a clue on where to start. Any help would be appreciated."
Sincerely,
John
Dear John,
I can understand how you might feel having moved from such an active boating community. Having that kind of support is very nice indeed. The good news is that you still have access to a very active boating community here at the iboats forums. In fact, just about any question you have is already answered or can be posted so other members can answer it. Not only that but it’s a great way share tips and friendships with others that are passionate about boating, it is also a free service provided to you by iboats.com.
If you’re not familiar with online forums let me bring you up to speed. First you’ll need to register. You have the option of either simple or advanced registration. Maybe at first try the simple option. You can always add or change features later. After you are registered you can post or answer questions. The whole thing is fairly easy.
Some of the major areas of the forum are:
Repair and Maintenance
Fishing
Owner Groups
Boat Restoration and Building
Prop Questions and Topics
Trailers and Towing
PWC (Jetskis, Waverunners, etc.)
In addition to those topics these posts on winterization will help you out with your problem.
