ignition wiring / help??

this is a 3.o mercruiser igntion switch went bad due to corrosion. its a 3 pole switch. after completion no crank so I tested to find starter & solenoid was also bad. I now can crank the starter but no spark to plugs. Testing 1 & 2nd postion (crank position) on ignition switch, checked coil and no voltage.
Not sure where the wire from on position of ignition switch should go? Directly to the coil or where?

Post a year, what drive, serial numbers etc and someone can help. The factory manuals are available for free here via download, but we have to know what you have. Then, you'll get all kinds of help.

Key switch power or the "on" side of the switch should go to purple. Big red wire to Batt.
