Would I prefer to buy a used one that lived indoors, yes. In case some yahoo let water sit in it.
A friend bought a 15 year old FG boat that was kept its entire life covered in a heated shop. It was seldom used. When I saw it I couldn't believe it was used. The first trip out his son jumped in and put his foot right thru the deck.

Rode easy but put away wet.....

Good point.
I guess indoors doesn't help if there's water in it and you either leave the plug in, like some people I know, or it's pointed bow down.

The point that should be taken is to keep a boat as dry inside as possible, and keep the water on the outside.
