    Briggs & Stratton 5hp-Saltwater use

    Does anyone here use a Briggs & Stratton 5hp outboard around saltwater?They say to wash with fresh water,why?Is that because of the frame,it is air cooled,seems like the engine would be okay?Any info on this outboard would be great.Thanks in advance.

    cleaning oil tank

    I have a 1993 yamaha 25hp (25mlhr) that starts fine,runs for awhile,then slows down and will not speed up again.I think it is not injecting oil and that is slowing it down.How do you remove the tank, clean the screen,and check the pump to see if it works?Thanks

    engine problem top end

    I have a 1991? yamaha 25,model #25mlhr,serial #403691.It starts and idles fine,but going full throttle for a minute or two and it slows to idle speed and will not speed up again,even after stopping and restarting.Someone said the oil system is messed up and to bypass and mix fuel.How hard would...
