I will take your advice. I will install the new impeller, the trailer was last registered in 02, the boat tag says 95. I bet i will come across more worn out and weathered rubbers, plastics, gaskets. And i will add a buzzer and check the overheat circuit.
Thank guys. Awesome forum..
Yes, i do have a new impeller what i will install. It never got hotter than to the touch. It was a small leak from the gasket. Is the pee hole towards the back of the engine? Or front… away from the prop. Consistant stream of warm water.
Yes, definitely… even an intact looking old wire. Not sure how long the motor was sitting, probably for years. But started right up, sounds pretty healthy beside a small waterleak from the “top” cover. At least i know the water pump is working. Thanks for advice and tips from you guys.
Just an update-
Finally get spark when pulse pack and starter are connected at same time.
Battery cables looked old, but ok. But one must have been bad - i assume ground. Could handle starter hooked up to crank the engine or the pulse pack connected to get spark by turning crank by hand - But...
Unfortunately im not at that point - yet.
Problem is:
Pulse pack and starter hooked up- it wont crank/solenoid wont engage, just one buzzing sound then silence. Loosing 12V on terminal.
Pulse pack disconnected - starter spins engine just fine.
Turning crank by hand- spark
Just doesnt work...
