Hi, I converted my little 2 stroke 9.9 into a 15hp by swapping the main jet in the carb. I've heard from a lot of people that I shouldn't do it. The motor seems to run fine and there is a power increase. Have I screwed up my motor?
My Yamaha shuts down at WOT. If I pump the primer bulb the engine will run fine at WOT. Do I have a fuel pump problem?<br /><br />There is a small inline filter on the way to the pump and carb. I can see an air bubble in there. Am I pulling air somewhere?
I bought this motor from a guy who ran (started 1st pull) it on a flusher for me. It idled great but the impeller was bad so there was not much water output. His fuel mixture was the factory rec, 100:1. I replaced the impeller and surrounding gaskets.<br /><br />Using my own tank I get gas...
