    tapping noise 165hp merc.6 cyl.

    my 1975, 165hp, merc.,inline 6 cylinder runs good, however it :confused: has a slight tapping sound comming from the engine. It is more of a tap then a knock. I've been told not to worry. Should I? Should I have the lifters, or valves adjusted?
