Freak fluke all 8 spark plugs burn out at same time !!!?

Is there any foreign substance on the white porcelain of the spark plug? Maybe some kind of oil or saltwater? It sounds like the spark is travelling down the porcelain to the shell and then to the block. Wipe 'em off with some solvent and then fresh water and retry.

    Spark plug

Gee, that info is about the easiest to find. There are several models of 90HP OBs of that year. Take your model number to the Champion spark plug web site and see what they say.

hull repair needed along lower rake

Make the repair twice as thick as the original, adding heavy roving on the inside, and you should be fine. Epoxy resin is a good idea. Also, make sure to foam it, as the foam adds considerable strength.

Gee, I thought the Seloc and Clymer manuals were strictly for outhouse duty.

Replacing my brake lines with rubber lines

There are stainless steel brake lines. You can either replace the old ones with those or with galv steel and rinse the trailer better. Cable ties can hold the lines to the frame, but those don't last forever in the sun, so have replacements ready to zip on.

    WMK-22 question 76 Merc 1500

None of my 1500 carbs had that bb in the idle restrictor passage. I would think that would disable the idle circuit completely. I would be surprised if the motor would run with that bb installed. I would remove it, and save it for now, get the motor running perfectly and then toss it.

    WMK-22 question 76 Merc 1500

Once you put a bb in the backdrag hose, the vent (or backdrag jet) doesn't have any effect. It is simply a vent for the carb bowl. I ran the backdrag circuit on my 1500, w/o issue. Did it help with fuel economy, I have no idea.

    WMK-22 question 76 Merc 1500

I do not think the carbs are different, however, Merc has a habit of installing different jets in different carbs on their V6 models. I never checked the jet size on my Merc 1500. It is starting to sound like the PO had some carb issues, and a unique way to try and resolve them. Getting the...

make remote start and add key switch

Gee, Seloc service manuals often have mistakes in them, but leaving out a starter solenoid is a whopper. Clymers are pretty bad as well.

    1975 Mercury 500EL Lightning Energizer wiring…

The white wire is ign power. If it unused on the later ADI ignitions, and maybe unused in your motor as well. Merc likely wanted the boat harnesses to be universal, so you could easily replace the motor with a larger or newer one, w/o changing the boat harness or control, It is a guess, but a...

    WMK-22 question 76 Merc 1500

I had that engine, and never saw bb's on top of the idle restrictor tube. I would believe the part diagrams on crowleymarine. If they do not show it, it likely shouldn't be there. Maybe they were trying to fix some idle issue?

    WMK-22 question 76 Merc 1500

Are you talking about the idle restrictor tube? That is removed after the plug on top. Both are brass, and screw in at an angle. Your '76 should have the backdrag carbs with the rubber tube from carb bowl cover to throat. Sometimes people like to plug those with bbs to disable the backdrag...

hull repair needed along lower rake

I would be concerned for the strength of that repair, because originally the entire hull was cured at one time (or should have been), and your repair will be thinner than the original, with shorter strands of glass. It would best to put some heavy roving on the inside of the hull, and cloth on...

    Fuel question(s)

Smell the fuel. If it smells fresh you can run it. Gasohol is fine to use in all motors. If the fuel is premix, and you know what oil was used, mix up some fresh stuff and compare the color to see if significant evaporation of the gasoline component has occurred.

    1992 mariner 150hp

The Procraft looks to be a bass boat type. The Mariner would usually have a 2::1 gear ratio. You would normally run a 19 or 21 pitch, 3 blade prop. I would think a 23P prop would be too tall.

2020 Mercury 150 4 Stk/Steering Feels Stiff. Where Are the Grease Point Located?

I think the picture has it correct. Tilt the motor up to lighten the pressure on the top bushing. Wiggle the motor steering while tigntening the strap. Some heat might help soften the old grease. If that all fails, you could drop the trailer tongue, put some sort of block under the anti...
