    While a 3 Cylinder Engine has advantages over a 2 Cylinder when it comes to Exhaust Tuning(can help Economy and Power), I haven't heard many Good Things about these 3 Cylinder engines.

    The gears are showing wear on the Clutch Dog Interface, especially on what I will assume is the Forward Gear. I would be changing them, and well as the Clutch Dog itself, and carefully inspecting all the Bearings in the Case, but that is just me.

    I would the Gears are Shot, as there are several teeth with what look like Gouges and chipping, the Clutch Dog is worn, I suspect the Bearings are also going to show Galling. Most Common Reason for Lower Unit Damage, is people "Easing" it into Gear. Shifting needs to be very Quick with no Hesitation

    60 mph on a Tire that is 26" in diameter is about 777 rpm, just slightly more than the Idling Speed of a lot of Engines

    Did you check the Heads for Warpage, and Resurface if necessary? The entire Gasket is not Rubber/neoprene/Silicone, it is usually Plastic, with Rubber/neoprene/Silicone Rings around any Ports. If the Block-Heads were machined, then Holes in the Gasket may no longer match the Ports on the...
