    Valve on Evinrude???

    On the side of my "92 40 hp Evinrude engine there is a red pointer with a schrader (sp?) valve in the center. the pointer will only turn about a half a round before it hits a stop. ... Does anyone know what it is?. ....... What does it do??. ..... THANKS!. ....... ted

    Evinrude with no water flow

    My Evinrude TE40ELENM 40 HP has been sitting for 4 years and now has no water flow. I took the bolts out the bottom and the lower unit drops down a bit and then hangs up. What do I need to do to change the impeller?. .... Any help will be appreciated. ..... ted

    I have a 1992 40HP Evinrude TE40 FLENM that worries me every time I start it because it takes a long time for the water to flow from the indicator tube. .. Does this engine have a thermostat that keeps the water till the engine gets warm?. ... I changed the impeller but that didn't help. ...
