    RPMs too high?

If that's a second hand combo, previous owner could have prop it right for his needs, higher loads, etc which you are not duplicating. Check tach rpm readings against other. How loaded, number of souls do you plan going boating with ? Happy Boating

    Strange Motor Behaviour.-

Don't worry Dwco, tear the carb and clean all the jets, nozzles, float's valve seat, micropolish it if too dirty. Spray carb clean spray in all air and fuel passages, don't need a carb kit everything inside its cleanable to perfection so save the money. The strange motor behavior with this 30...

    Thermostat housing hole.

Welcome back Doug, How do you know the motor is over heating when on muffs ? the only possible way to do so is if the muffs are loosing too much water side of them. Modify the muff''s end to improve the grip on the lower leg and lose the least amount of water when flushing. The tell tale it's...

    Strange Motor Behaviour.-

Ohm and DVA testing while pulling the rope won't say much when having repetitive erratic electrical component failures during operation under load. Swapping new electrical components one at a time it's the fastest way to troubleshoot, luckily have all 3 of them, will start with a new Ignition...

    Strange Motor Behaviour.-

With a 2 stroke motor motor sufficiently warmed up revving strong from idle to say 4-5K at neutral is it possible for any electrical component to fail ( motor will not rev up) when geared forward but run strong at max wot range once motor has passed this condition issue ? It's not a fuel related...

    2021 Susuki 4 stroke 25hp and 30hp Outboard difference?

You can upgrade/detune any motor as long shares exact same CC powerhead as in this 25-30 HP Suzy example. A 30 HP motor revving with higher rpm due to more fuel intake usually needs more timing advance. Their individual 25-30 HP ECU's will takes care of both situations. Although the outside...

    Thermostat housing hole.

Factual item, are we at some kind of war ? Made perfectly clear why I use this personal method on new out of the box motors, don't ramble with post 172, has nothing to do with number of in-out turn every motor brand recommends going for specially after carbs have benn fully serviced. So that...

What shaft length do I need for a kicker motor?

Needs to be at least an L shaft but probably an XL will work much better powering said boat while sitting port of main.. Happy Boating

    Thermostat housing hole.

This is my personal pilot's screw distance method used as a reference to set back all carb's PS to their individual factory settings delivered with when out of the box. Works well for me with carb's that have been fully serviced and worked to perfection independently of the pysical in-out turns...

Nissan 25hp NS25C3 warning buzzer not operational

A picture says it all. First time seeing such, it's not even mentioned in the parts nor service manual. This is a standard M25-30C3 motor as factory delivered. If comes in contact with the lower cylinder head could be a temp sensor installed by someone as an addition to trigger an alarm...

At 5K the motor will be running around its middle wot rpm range which it's excellent.. What like doing is propping right the motor to achieve max wot revs when solo boating lightly loaded. Once there keep testing with slight more passengers aboard till the motor reaches its middle wot rpm range...

Nissan 25hp NS25C3 warning buzzer not operational

If it's an M25-C2 motor or previous versions doesn't have a temp sensor located nowhere on the powerhead. TS are usually found on way larger 2 stroke motors. Out of curiosity why do you run said motor jacked high, any advantage runing so ? Happy Boating

    Suzuki water strainer

Which filters might that be ? Does the water indicator still pees strong say at idle, fast idle rpm ? Debris could have been suked all the way up, if the surge continues start checking the water pump housing, water tube, thermostat area for partial water obstructions. Happy Boating

Hard to tell, how about first 5 run hours at 3/4 to full wot rpm at open water. Engine height on Offshore repower.

Right on, need to start somewhere. Many prefers the flow to skim righr under the small upper plate, some right over the AV plate. For Offshore boating set the motor to a given height for the prop to achieve top thrust propulsion at choppy, windy wavy water conditions with O prop aeration. If...
