    It was an almost brand new carb...used 3 times they said. It was spotless and not a mark on it so. Oddly enough though it didn't even smell like gas. Anyways between the 3 things I did it finally fricken worked.

    Update...I went up jets and rods and springs as you suggested Update...I pulled top...set float height...upped my jets with according springs and rods. And set it all back up. Went out today and had no bog issues all day...right up onto plane. Only other I changed was installed self leveling...

    I have an mc-1 outdrive and I changed the boots when I bought the boat. I used oem parts and I got back from lake today and was strapping boat down and saw the exhaust bellows ripped open. No idea why...what is the common problem or is there one...it's definitely not age. And it's definitely not...

    I've tried moving the rod to middle hole...I also fattened my idle up a touch as you say...timing is good...when I take off ya until it's about half on plane...wich on my boat is about half throttle maybe a bit more...I haven't just punched it from idle. I slowly ease up until about 2g then hit...

    Ahhhhh...gotcha...I'll install a new set before I hit the water...and do the test before I change any metering rods and su h...I got the calibration kit today...seems pretty straight forward to me
