    Part Identification.-

It might be just me, but Sierra cables have been an issue for me. Since I started using Quicksilver cables, they last longer. Sierra has improved most of their stuff over the years, but oem is for me.

Inverter with shore power - Question ???

Not sure if solar will keep up. I've seen a few at the marina, and if we have to move them sometimes the batts are low/dead. One has a wind charger propeller thing. It always is ok. Wind around here is fairly constant; cloud cover slows solar down a bit.

    Boat slow after cleaning

Yes it could be an issue under power. Low fluid or leaking relief valve?

    Leaking Antifreeze after Winterizing

I think you cracked the block. If you did not drain all the water out before running the anti freeze through it had diluted anti freeze in the block.

    Attaching T-Top Tower to floor

Ant time you add anything to the deck, you have to have backing plates.

Clean it out. dig a hole as deep as the waterline, set boat in there. Kids playhouse! First salvage what you can. Sell the trailer.

Mercruiser 3.7 (470) wont turn all the way

I currently am running three 1985-1985 3.0 MerCruiser's. Not the same as that motor but they are flawless. It's not the age, it's the maintenance. Keep in mind that I got these used, and don't know the history of them. If the op wants to fix up what he has he will have a good motor for his use.

    Winter Storage/Cover with Radar Arch . . .

You will be fine like that. I see shrink wrapped ones that use the arch for support of the shrinkwrap, with no support under the arch, just supports for the wrap on other places.

    Moisture meters & used boats

If you are in Michigan, I'd say the hull is frozen. I'm not so sure the meter would read correctly.

    LED Bulb trips breaker

Most led's are 6-12 volt. Learned that a few years back, it gets cut down in the board itself. I've taked some apart and hooked them up directly to 12 volts and they work just fine, without the circuit board.

    Lowrance VS Hummingbird

If the ducers are wired correctly and mounted far enough apart it should not make any difference. I'd put the map where it's easier to see, but fish are important to.

    mercruiser trim pump

    # 8 wire will be fine. Use marine grade, tinned wire and connecters. #10 wire may be ok, I just haven't looked at the specs.

Harmonic Balancer bolt thread/size for removal.

Yeah, the one I actually have does have the bearing; I just posted the first one I saw online. Wish I would have got it years ago.

Harmonic Balancer bolt thread/size for removal.

I use this, no risk of messing up the threads on the crankshaft.

    Need torque for prop nut

My 28 hp Evinrude I think from the 70's has a shear pin. But the plastic nut is held with a cotter pin.

Just a few minutes, scrub it around a bit and have half a beer.

    Pitting/corrosion on jon boat bottom

Pressure washer will be fine but neutralize the hull first with backing soda or the like.

    Live well

Nothing wrong with that system. Make sure the seacock is in good shape, bedded properly, with a ball valve. There are thousands of them in service all over the world. Plugging it off means it's still there and can fail as you will never look at it again.
