When replacing the floor, do not use treated plywood. It does corrode the aluminum.

    Pitting/corrosion on jon boat bottom

I think I would use the primer; it will help the paint stick better. besides, the primer helps you see where the repairs are needed better. I always prime/ sand and repair defects while I'm there, after repairs I prime again.

    Swell, waves, and period

I don't mind swells as long as they are farther apart, to close together and you get kicked hard! And the swells can contain wave also.

Them small hunting stools? Light, easily stored and canvass seat. Kids don't care what they sit on as long as they can sit.

Mercruiser 3.7 (470) wont turn all the way

I wouldn't take off the heads just yet. Making more work than needed. It might be fine? Turning by hand is a bit hard to do as there are many moving parts to get to move around. Why not try the starter? Disconnect and ground the coil wire and give it a crank. Putting oil in the cylinders is...

Engine smell in cabin when boat is tarped for the week (350 i/o)

I think it's time to shampoo all the carpet, headliner, everything related every nook and cranny to eliminate mold or other strange dirt. Boats are wet no matter how dry they seem.

Gelcoat cracks around mercruiser transom plate opinions and repair questions.

Looks like paint to me. If the hull was neglected, some will paint them to make it look nice again. taping around the transom housing the easy way, then add caulk to cover the paint line.

    Corrosion on drive

Volvo usually does well with warranty stuff. Had a few come in over the years at the shop and things were taken care of well. One was a new pod drive, we had it in the heated storage and one day I noticed a little oil weeping out of the side of the case. bad casting. They showed up in two weeks...

    U-joint bellows ring

Can't remember the foot pounds of the pins but clean them up well and add a very small dab of red Loctite to the threads. to much and they won't come out again. Just a tiny drop.

    U-joint bellows ring

Yes, power tune works great. I've bent the ring in the past, now it's easy as pie! I also use it to get stubborn hoses off/on and things like that. Even getting old impellers out of the housings on the bigger pumps helps a lot.

    Mercruiser 3.0 Fuel Issues

if no one has messed with it, it should be correct. The pump rod pumps a squirt of fuel when you pump the throttle. Look at the holes and see if they are worn or look like it was in a different one before. Nothing I hate worse than someone moving/bending/ and messing with the linkage when they...
