Leak testing an empty aluminum hull?

If you know the weight of the motor, add that same weight to the stern area so it sits sort of like it would when under normal situations.

okay out of the box idea guys, let's get crazy

Sorry if I offended you. We are just trying to come up with a plan of sorts to figure out your particular boating situation. No need to shoot down suggestions. Regardless, it might be possible to add the weight to the bow and the stern might rise, hard to predict. I know a couple of boaters that...

Leak testing an empty aluminum hull?

You can back it in at the ramp and check it on the trailer. Some weight in the hull won't bother unless you toss bricks over into it.

okay out of the box idea guys, let's get crazy

Good response by Sprig. Also if the drive is a pod drive, there is no way to trim it up. If its shallow water, a thruster or trolling motor may not help. That pod drags bottom and you are basically beached/stuck.

Do you park your vehicle straight into your garage or back in?

Well inside like that, they should run lp lifts, or electric. I believe OSHA requires it.

    Antifouling outdrive

Before you do, have it serviced, pull the drive and make sure everything is in good order. I hate it when they come in with fresh paint and have to pull them and service them.

    Electric Boats

California's electrical grid is shot. Texas isn't far behind. Look at what happend to Texas when they had one cold snap. The entire grid went down. Fix the grid, spend millions for that, figure out how to make power before selling things that require more power. How about going back to horse and...

3.0 litre Mercruiser sterndrive oil issue

I was just thinking the same thing. Even a good filter can blow the gasket if tightend incorrectly, or double gasket.

Just run a jumper across the breaker** only for testing! ** If things work, then it's the breaker.

    Engine Mount Trolling Motors

Whatever you do, remove the trolling motor from the main motor if you bring it to the shop for service please. I've serviced lots of boats with different setups, and it adds hours to a service order as we have to remove all the junk attached to do an impeller and stuff. Saves ya money to remove...

    Slide hammer puller

Yeah, I misread the post. The carrier does come out without damaging the bearings. Spray plenty of knocker loose in there to help loosen corrosion. I've had two over the years that broke removing them. Did several hundred of them though. A little heat on the case don't hurt either.
