3.0l bogging down only under load!

This one ran good the season before. Customers 3.0. Didn't understand why it didn't now. This is what I found. When I cleaned out the gunk, the bowl had a hole in the bottom also. How it didn't leak I don't know! New carb cured it. He said he uses ethonal exclusively. Don't be this guy.....

'99 2330 with hole in bilge

Weird one for sure. Is the garboard drain down low where it is on the outside of the transom? I ask as it's possible that there is a dead space under there that only drains when you take out the plug. Washing interior with boat in slip/water?

Dawn dish soap works for what alldodge say's, but from my understanding, it encapsulates the oil and it sinks to the bottom. Just use boatwash, enviromentally safe soap.

Washing interior with boat in slip/water?

If the bilge pump is working properly, it won't sink.

Tracker Rubber Seal in Transom Aluminum Boat

Unless you unhook all the cables/fuel/electrical, you can't replace the boot. My workaround was to get a chunk of roofing rubber from the local lumber yard and cut the circle to fit the plate, with a little extra to lap over itself. Split the rubber on top and slip it around and use a good glue...

    Tying to dock/reaching it

Practice-practice-practice. Even at that there is ne perfect way. I drive everything from 60 ft boats down to my 12 ft duck boat. it all depends on wind, currants and waves. some day's I can nail it on the head, others take a bit of finess. You could practice in your yard, Have a post set up or...

Super stuck gimbal bearing in Mercruiser Pre-Alpha -- is there a clip?

Yes that will work. you can also just get a wheel bearing puller, but it requires the slide hammer anyway. You already failed with that so I would get the right puller.

Is there a better gear oil pump out there?

Good idea, I have a spare one of those myself. At the shop we have more robust ones, but for the average homeowner that will do fine.
