    Integrated swim platform leaking?

Ah yes, I've seen this before. A couple boated from across the big lake, spent the night in the Apostle islands. Upon waking up in the morning they found the bilge pretty full of water. They had two children onboard, under 10 years old. When I looked at the issue of how the water had come in...

    Water Leaking from transom.

Wondering if I pulled too much wire into the boat and didn’t leave enough slack for the trim sending units Pretty hard to do, the retainer is fixed to the wire. Unless they make a different type I haven't seen. Is the steering pin leaking? Usually don't sit that low in the water but I don't...

    Pontoon helm

Could be. You may have to modify it to fit what you have/need.

That almost looks like it had hydrolic steering. Seastar comes to mind.

    Gas fumes in cuddy

If the tank or hoses had a leak before, the fuel could have saturated someplace hidden and will smell for a very long time, or may not go away. Might have to dig deeper and remove the contaminated stuff.

5.7 Volvo Penta Overheating at Idle

Had one two years ago at the shop. He had the same issue, did everything you did already. I suggested he change the pump itself, it looks perfect, but he did it anyway. problem disappeared. I really think the housing was wore "just enough".

As far as the bow taking on water over the bow, Demark is correct. However, there should be a snap on cover you can put on there to let most of the water to roll off if you get into a widy/wavey day. Don't ask how I know....

Possibly closed to the public. Up here it never closes but in some area's they may stop letting the public in to curb theft's. That wouldn't work to well with the boaters if they closed the gates so you couldn't leave or get there early.

I mostly watch the weather myself, but I know how this lake works in my area, Lake Superior, Apostle islands area. The local forecasts get you close but it changes rapidly up here. NOAA is a good source for checking your area, as well as listening to the vhf weather channel in your area. even at...

Did you take a boaters safety course? You should even if it's not required. Also it wouldn't hurt to get some maps of the different areas you plan to be in and study them for depth and obstructions, ect.... A good depth gauge on the boat is a must. Make sure all your safety gear is up to par...
