    Sounds fine. it only grounds the ignition. Just activate the switch, if your engine stalls it works.

    Vortec, 4bbl. Should be 50hp, but 200# weight hit. I'll be probably getting a 4 blade prop at some point and will likely drop, but I'm pretty much where I should be most of the time. Still 4600 with 3-4 on board. I still haven't had a chance to see how it pulls me on a slalom ski...

    Just curious. Still haven't gotten the performance I expected after my 3.7l --> 4.3l upgrade. It's a touch faster on the top with better mid range. Me + full tank gets me 48-49 mph @ 46-4700 rpm. Today out with about 1000# extra people/gear (6 real people, 2 kids) and topped out at 42 mph @ 4300...

    Your mid range will be night and day vs. the 3.0. my 4.3 doesn't seem much faster than the 3.7 I replaced, but everything in between is effortless with no drama. Tops out at 48-49 still, but 40 is much easier. Still waiting to ski off the damn thing, very curious as to whether it pulls harder...

    That isn't at all true. Ignition and fuel for the most part, but there are *many* auto parts that can be used on a boat. Op, pretty damn tough to bend a yoke. How do you know yours is bent/how did that happen

    Did you check out the shift cavity of the drive? Sometimes it can fill up with schmutz and keep the slide from moving forward into the cavity.

    Yeah, those look like single throw replacement switches. The original nav/anchor switch was 2 position. The red/green should also turn on the white stern light. Anchor turns on the stern light only. Depending on how creative the wiring is, 1 of the switches is for anchor and 1 is for navigation...
