Losing Power - After two hours

That first pic looks like you have water in that gas. Did you let it sit to see if it separated? Yeah, your sender is probably bad. That comes after "is all my teak oiled?" In priorities for fixing on my boat. Would still like a vid, since if your engine is slipping we're still chasing the...

    Mercruiser 3.0 I/O bogging down

Doesn't sound like a plugged vent, but just unscrew your gas cap when it happens. If you don't get a rush of air in there it isn't the vent. Or leave the cap off and see if the problem is still present

    Mercruiser 3.0 I/O bogging down

Start with changing your fuel filters. Empty your fuel/water canister filter into a clear container and see if you have any water/crud in there...

    Boat lift options?

I'm fine with that, I plan on putting in a solar charger. I also do have power to the shore, but it's at least 100' of 12/2 UF wire, so plenty to charge batteries but not nearly enough for a lift. As long as it wasn't an issue specifically related to the lift + DC motors, I'm OK.

    Couple of questions

Compression test is always a good idea just to get a baseline for the engine. Sure, change the oil and see if water comes back. Won't hurt anything.

    Boat lift options?

So what were the issues you had with DC?

    Couple of questions

The temp gauge is water temp, not oil. Get an IR thermometer to see where/if there's a problem. In the meantime clean up your connections at the sender and gauge at least. Yeah, although what people call a leak down test is a bit misleading. In my mind a true leak down test involves measuring...

    Boat lift options?

The AC motors are 3/4 hp, which is ~550 watts? Yeah, I'd like to avoid the overheads, but if it's a $3k difference not worth it. The beams wouldn't be over the boat anyways, and we don't have too much of a bird problem here. The beams would also allow me to run some sort of canopy in between for...

    Boat lift options?

Local drama, my boat ramp is closed for at least the season. All the construction is bananas around here, but the guy doing a pier next door agreed to drive 4 pilings for me while he's on this job. The pilings are going to be standalone with a lift that I'll be buying/installing. For a few...

    Couple of questions

Cracked block, leaky manifolds are the usual suspects. How was it winterized? Salt or fresh water?

    Mercruiser 4.3 Delco Distributor Question

Is the Delco stand alone on any auto applications anyway? Can't think of a scenario where the ignition isn't tied to the ecu. Also curious on the marine specific aspects of the dizzy? The cap has a 90' vent, but in a non points ignition?

1992 Mercruiser 4.3 w/ balance shaft and 1 piece rear main seal swap to newer year Vortec.

The head gaskets are standard gm gaskets. I used mahle. I think that most Head gaskets for the last 20 years or so are composite, and can be used in a marine application. Yes, @Scott Danforth and I went through this when I was putting my engine together. Iirc the only thing that I needed...

    Waterproof engine compartment?

That's perfect. I knew there was something obvious that I wasn't thinking of. A simple mount fore and aft, tilting aft. Aluminum flashing that can sit on top and easily removable. Thanks, that's what I'll do.

Engine rpm is not stable below 2000 rpm

And I was severely lean running Rick's setup, even though we have the same engine. The recommended calibration kit (forget the numbers off hand) I think is for the pre-vortecs, and possibly the vortecs need a richer jetting. FWIW, Michigan Motorz uses the 1409 out of the box (which is allegedly...

    Waterproof engine compartment?

I'm not sure if I have the clearance necessary for something like that, but yeah, that's the general idea. I'm worried about the heat in the engine compartment though.

    Waterproof engine compartment?

So a few years back I reconfigured the traditional back-to-back lounge/2 jumpseat configuration on my bowrider. I put in a sundeck and L-bench seat in the stern, and 2 captain's chairs in the front (wow, what a difference BTW). Problem is that the seams in the sun deck allow water to drain into...

4.3 Mercruiser Spark knocking at high rpm

4800 is what you *should* max out at. There is no rev limiter. But I seriously doubt you're actually at 6k. You need to verify your readings with another tach.
