    Boats from work.

I don't know what happened to this one, but this trailer doesn't have guide bars so can't be that. Cobalts look nice but they seem to be getting harder to work on. More stuff that was only meant to be accessed while the cap was lifted for assembly, so harder to reach or just have to cut a way...

Opinions on this welded aluminum hull

You can see the same thing on this 2024 cresliner I'm doing. You'll have to zoom in a bit, but you can clearly see regular straight lines.

Opinions on this welded aluminum hull

That's just where the interior structure is welded. Nothing to worry about, every welded boathas those.

Only took about 5 days to strip it and paint. Pretty good time.

    Osmosis in gelcoat

Blisters happen because gel is porous, and water can eventually seep through and become trapped between the glass and gel coat. They're usually happen where bunks sit first, because those areas don't dry as well, so the water has more time to work in. I somewhat agree with Chris, if you're...

    G3 Boat

Sure, but then he'll just have a big hole drilled in the dash. Beckoning, the crack needs ground out, filled, and sprayed. I'm guessing it either starts at a screw hole that wasn't countersunk or an air void at a corner. That would need to be fixed as well. I wouldn't have thought of that. It...

    1995 Crownline 202BR Restore

My guess would be that is the side that saw the most sun. Those are cracks in the gel, but likely not the glass. Don't try to sand them out.

I have two similar stories. 1. A guy had a heart attack (I think that was it) while out boating while the throttle was wide open. He rammed another boat side on, his bow went over the side and hit the other boater. Neither survived. 2. Last winter, during one of the big snow storms, a local...

    Boats from work.

I skipped a couple small jobs, but here's a Crestliner aluminum boat that I'm stripping the paint off of the bottom and repainting. The paint was flaking away in several areas, and didn't seem to be sanded where the metal was exposed.

    Weathered Werner fiberglass ladder delaminating

I've never worked on a ladder, but it would still need prepped. Sanded, cleaned, sprayed. I don't know if the splintering/shedding would be a bad sign structurally.

    Bearing buddy issues

You mean a cap to cover just the grease fitting? A vacuum line cap would probably work.

    Bearing buddy issues

By bra, we're talking about the plastic cap right, I find those around our lot all the time, they constantly fall off. As for the grease fitting, I don't see why you couldn't replace it. They all just thread in right?

    1983 Blue Fin 16’ Resto

FYI, a DA, or dual action sander, is a random orbital sander with the ability to lock the shaft, turning it into a straight circular sander. That makes it much more aggressive, basically a grinder. What you have is probably a random orbital sander, which is plenty for the job. Those windshields...

    wiring diagram

Sorry, but it's not likely to happen. They don't document boats like they do automotive stuff. I have seen a few posts talking about what each color is typically used for, but no documentation. Do you have something specific you're trying to track down?

The truck is done, just needs some clean up. I still ended up with a little gap by the headlight, but it's better than the other side.
