    Any ideas?? It seems as though Mercury has passed Yam in 4 stroke technology but knowing Yam they should have an answer and hopefully soon.

    now that they are coming out with the 250 four stroke model are there any plans for a 275 or even a 300 HP model??<br /><br />I have always considered yamaha an industry leader but i think they have fallen behind mercury with their new verados and higher horsepower.

    RPM range for YAM 115 four strokes

    What is the normal cruising RPM for this model engine? My boat has twins and I routinely push them aroun 5000-5500 with a max RPM close to 6000. Im just wondering if i'm pushing them too hard.
