True Forced Air Heating: Unlike other "radiator" style heaters that use convection, that leave cold areas in the engine compartment, an Xtreme Heater circulates air more effectively and heats more evenly for more accurate climate control. This forced air system assures more consistent and accurate temperature control.

Automatic Thermostat Control: Xtreme Engine Compartment Heaters turn on at 40 degrees F and off at 55 degrees F with a +/- tolerance of 3 degrees. This is the tightest tolerance for any bilge heater available. Other heaters have a 5 degree tolerance range which results in an inaccurate reading and inconsistent temperature control.

PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient): The PTC heating element means that as the heater reaches its design operating temperature, electrical consumption is automatically decreased. This means they are incapable of overheating.
