Nice! I have a 1956 Aerocraft I just painted. I see your steering wheel. Mine has two old cable pulleys under the covered bow, but my covered is half size of yours. I'm wondering if it originally had a wheel?

Yes-mine came with a wheel. I converted it to a modern cable, wheel etc. I over-built the transom big time. Might have to go up from the 35 one day

I am extending the inner wood on my transom as well. The tag says max 40 hp. I want to put a 25hp on it with trim/tilt. My friend says that will put too much stress on the 'Ol girl. might damage it. I'm thinking as long as I dont do any trimming at high throttle settings it shud handle it. I'm 56, not 17. I can ease on the throttle and take it easy. I have 2 grandsons who visit a few times during the summer. 2-5 yrs. I want to be able to put them in a inner tube and drag em round a bit when they get a little older. We rented a pontoon last yr and they liked it. (sitting with Mom of course).
My queen likes the idea of a wheel setup.
