I took my 1969 OMC Chev V8 out for its first outing and within minutes it started to bog down.I ran it for no more than 5 min. I made it on to my boat lift and upon checking my engine compartment there was this white goo all over the engine. It was even sprayed around the compartment.I checked my dipstick and noticed that all the oil was gone except for some traces of the goo (oil and water I suspect). What could cause this?

Sounds like you might have cracked a block over the winter, but not knowing your location, ????<br />Sounds like new motor time anyway, if its an original.

Remember now, its probably the block, so as soon as possible, start pulling and drying out and protecting EVERYTHING ELSE. Starter, Alt, Dist...all that stuff that can corrode with the water everywhere. Most everything connected to the motor will still be good. And blocks are not that expensive. If you do a ReMan auto block, it will need a marine cam, and brass freeze plugs at least. Good Luck
