I'm nearing the end of refurbishing my motor and am a little confused on what lubrication I should use.

I have a 1973 50373r electric start.

My book calls for:
OMC Sea-Lube Anticorrosion Lubricant (formerly OMC Type "A")
Lubriplate 777
OMC Sea-Lube Gearcase Lubricant (formerly OMC Type "C")

I've been reading on ye' old interwebz and am now even more confused about what the modern equivalent I should use is.

For Lubriplate 777 I ordered Lubriplate L0172-092 so I think I have that covered.

For OMC Sea-Lube Anticorrosion can I just use any quality marine grease like: Lucas Oil Marine Grease?

For OMC Sea-Lube Gearcase Lubricant I am reading some pretty confusing information - should I use "Premium Blend" or a gear oil like 85w-140 synthetic blend? I think I have what I've seen referred to as Hydro-mechanical but I'm not 100% certain.

Well----1972 was the last year for electric shift.----Yours is oil pressure assisted mechanical shift.----Just use a quality outboard gear oil.----Any grease can be used on all other linkages / moving parts.

The Manuals from that Era, would say OMC Type C, now known as Premium Blend, simply because that was the only Gear Oil OMC marketed. A couple of yrs later, they came out with HiVis for use in anything but the Electrics and Hydro Electrics. Prior to the Electric Shifts and Type C, the Oil Mentioned to use in the Owners and Service Manuals was SAE 90 Hypoid Gear Oil
