1986 AQ131A Carburetor Options

Hello All,

My neighbor and I recently acquired an '86 Bayliner Ciera for free and as you can imagine it needs some work. First things first, theres no carb on it. Been doing a ton of research and I've come to find that there seems to be 4 different carb options for this engine (855637, 856046, 856123, and 856126). Is there any way for me to tell which carb my engine is supposed to have? Does it matter? Can I just buy any of them?

Can post pictures if needed, any info is greatly appreciated

Seems like a fairly decent price, just didn't know which options to choose without carb to check for numbers like they show.

The displacement is the same so the amount of fuel needed to run will be close if not the same.

still quivering because its a solex carb on the motor......

there are some smaller ones on evilbay.

If you can find one from an AQ131, it should be fine. Solex carbs are like old Quadrajet carbs. finding one today will require sorting used good parts from one that is beyond repair.

redline offers a kit to replace the solex carbs with a new webber. Not sure if these fit your application. Would agree with the others finding a decent core or reman one may be difficult.
