1988 bluefin sportsman 17ft.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal. I recently was offered this boat and matching trailer for 800.00. The motor is a 50 h.p. Force motor. The motor was run for the first time in 3 years, just six days ago. The guy told me the motor overheat buzzer came on so he shut it down. He is not sure what the problem is. Should I take a chance on it. Any imput would be greatly appreciated

I would suspect that the water pump is shot. But as for the unit worth the money, well is any device worth the money, you realy won't know till you run it.

Check all over carefully look for rot, cracks or<br />distortion in the boat.Force motors a are <br />suspect performers with shakey reliability<br />and a weak parts supply.Boat motor and trailer for $800 could be a deal if you dont end up<br /> over your head in repairs and parts.
