1989 OMC 2.3L NO SPARK AT COIL

Any help on what to look for here? 50 AMP fuses good. 20 AMP ignition fuse good. Distributor/Cap/rotor/condensor/points/all new.Coil checks good. Resistance in wiring harness good. Boat had power loss last time out and had a weak spark. Now no spark at all. Thanks for your responses!!

Start with remove dist cap and crank engine does rotor move? these engines are known to eat dist gears this is the gear that runs with the cam shaft. if it is turning it should be sparking make sure condensor wire is not touching base plate of dist. are both plastic bushings on the dist screw? are the points opening and closing? with key on engine off you can snap points with screw driver to check for spark. good luck A.D.

Thanks for the tips. I have replaced the distributor gear and the mating shaft. I will let you know my findings. Thanks again.

AD Mobile,<br />Happy to report the engine is running. Replaced coil and checked all your suggestions. I appreciate your help and I guess my coil check was incorrect. Cleaning her up now and hope to launch this weekend!!! <br />Thanks again,<br />Mike M.
