Re: 1994 115 Turbojet Motor blown up and block cracked
Just bought a 1994 Four Winns - 115 Turbojet today. Wanted something small but able to pull skier/tuber. Was told motor had been rebuilt some 3 years ago and this owner used past two summers with no problems. Blower is not working, he wasn't sure why. Has not had tender loving care, but can be cleaned up and minor repairs. Took it out on the lake 2 hours after purchase..hard to keep running after starting, does not idle well. Real issue when bringing it in to dockside. Opened the engine seat cover before starting each time since blower not functioning. Engine seems Stong running and comes up to plane fairly quickly and smooth at 30-35. Lots of white exhaust at less than 25 and like I said, tends to cut out at idle even after warming up. Thinking maybe replacing the gasline filter might help the idle issue? Blower might be an electrical disconnect? They disconnected the auto lub/gas feed so must pre-mix...Thinking this might be why motor had to be rebuilt...tx for any input..hope to enjoy this season.
