! am looking at buying a 1997 glastron 195se can anyone tell me if stringers in this boat are wood? Deck in boat is solid but owner tells me he had soft spot in deck near fuel tank repaired in 05. Boat has been garaged kept since he has bought boat in 05. Asking 5000 for boat. Thanks

More than likely they are. The All composite construction trend didn't really start in earnest till 00' or 01'

Buy it, keep it garaged or covered and enjoy it for a long time.

Leave it exposed to the elements and it'll age quickly.

... or, buy it and take it apart and build it back better than new and never have to worry about it.
