yes, very very simple, and cost about 10 bucks.

take off fly wheel, remove magnets, clean old paint off where magnets will go back, sand with light, LIGHT paper, clean with acetone to remove all finger prints, lay down some JB weld or marine tex( i used jb weld) and space evenly around. i used a popsicle stick for even placement.

works great!

Welcome!!

If youre talking about the center magnet, it can be repalced but you have to find someone who has the "map". If you can't find anyone with the map, there are lots of used flywheels around. Just make sure you talk to someone who knows the difference between the years. You can call Jack at Superior Marine at 800-338-9281. Or Chuck or Phil at Gator Creek Marine at 941-639-3446. They both have flywheels and Chuck has a map if you want to send him yours.

If you're talking about the 6 magnets on the outer edge inside, then myoutboards has you covered.

go to rapair.com and click on the ignition troubleshooting booklet, a .pdf file. There is a center magnet orientation drawing on the last page for your engine.
