2001 9.9 2 stroke lower unit removal

I have removed the three bolts that connect the lower unit but something else seems to be holding it on and I can not figure out what it is. Any Ideas?

What is your engine s/n? I have the manual and can send it to you if you PM me with an email address and it will show you clearly.

You still have to removed the shift shaft retainer under the powerhead and the reverse lock actuator .

This seems more difficult than i anticipated. My s/n is OT337133. I will have to figure out how to send a p/m. I think the manual would certainly help.
