5.7 OMC Cobra problems

I am new to boating but my wife and I decided to get one to spend time as a family. We purchased a 1991 hurricane deck boat with a 5.7 OMC inboard. It ran great out of the water when we picked it up and even while we had it on the lake. For about 20 minutes.... It kept bogging down and I could only give it half throttle. Eventually it left us stranded. Got it home fired it up after cleaning out some fuel lines and putting treatment in the tank. Today took it out seemed to run better longer but started doing the same. Now it won't start at all. Charging the battery now. Any suggestions?

When you say it won't start, is it cranking? Sputtering, but won't catch? Is it cranking slow?

Ayuh,.... Bad fuel or Bad fuel flows,....

Inspect the contents of the fuel filter for anything but clean fresh gasoline,....

The crud could also be in the carb, a full on rebuild would then be in order,...
