I have a mid 80's 40 HP Mariner with the 7-pin wire harness. I had to re-wire the boat at the dash due to severe corrosion. I am done and complete. However, the start button gives me nothing. I can jump it to start at the solenoid, so I know I have power back there. The kill switch (2 position on-off rocker switch) will shut the motor off. The 3 other rocker switches on my dash function properly (nav lights, bilge, acc), as well. The electric choke sounds like its working when I press the momentary on-off button (i can hear it click at the motor). But hitting the start button gives me nothing. I don't have a key. Just start button, electric choke button and kill switch. i thought i hooked back up the same way it came off, but i must be wrong. So i am looking for a wiring schematic. I didn't touch anything at the motor, as that all looked perfect. Any help? Thank you in advance.
