Helping a neighbor change a water pump. He has a Clymer manual which doesn't say much about the shift shaft. How does it disconnect (it looks like it may just separate somewhere in the middle without any specific action)???<br /><br />Everything else looks straightforward ... 7 bolts to drop the LU, whatever the shift shaft needs, and down and out. Correct?<br /><br />Don't want to start the project w/o knowing this detail.<br /><br />Advise please. Tkx.
