89 150 XP with 35 amp stator. I'm troubleshooting a no fire on Cylinder #1 and went to test out the stator and it passes the first test in the book to make sure theres no grounding issues on Terminals A-D. But when testing for peak voltage across A-B and C-D I'm not getting anything. I've tried two different multi testers with and without my Peak Voltage Adapter on AC and DC (wasn't sure which one but assumed it would be AC). I've checked the flywheel and it looks good with good pull on the magnets. The stator is brand new of last year (but so is the rest of the ignition system) so I don't understand how it can run if the stator has no output. Any help here would be great before I spend another 300 bucks on another part.

If it's only one cyl did you ever try swapping coils with a good one ??

Yeah coil and wire check out good when I move them to another cylinder. I would like to assume the stator is good since the boat fires and runs "fine" on 5 cylinders. But still a little concerned that I'm not getting any readings from it.

I took everything apart testing piece by piece (this is the 3rd time) and no clue what change but I'm getting spark now on all 6. Guess I'll try setting timing and take it out to see how it runs now.
