Given reasonable maintenance the Suzuki oil injection is very reliable. Their system is different that the OMC system. Periodically replace or clean the oil filter and tank, check hoses for cracking and check valves for clogs. An added advantage beyond the convenience is that the oil is injected into the reed manifold not the carb fuel stream so a clogged main jet on the carb does not stop all lubrication and kill the engine. If the oil injection system is working properly leave it alone. If its broken fix it. Just my opinion.

Thanks - it looks like it is working fine - I mixed the gas on my first tank but think I will run it without mix on my next one.

Even though this engine is over 12 years old - it has only 15 hrs - is there a break in period? Should I run mix for a while?

If its a new engine to you I would clean out the oil tank and clean/replace the oil filter/screen and check the oil lines to make sure they aren't brittle or leaking. Use pre-mix until you observe that the oil level is going down. You should be good to go.

Re: 92 SUZUKI 200 - DO I TRUST OIL INJECTION?

I am trying to troubleshoot a power problem in my 1986 DT115 and the oil injection is one of the things I'm trying. The reason for trying that is, my tilt does'nt keep my engine up, it tilts all the way down past level, and maybe too much oil is dumping into the gas? My question is: if I want to bypass the oil tank and use a pre-mixed gas, how do I do that? Can I do it permanently?
I also put another rod through the bracket to keep the engine at level.
Thanks
