Hello,

I have an 1999 2-cyl. 30hp-Johnson.

When I shift into neutral the shift lever outside the engine case will not be exact in the middle position and therefore click in.
Is there an adjusting (maybe of the shift rod connector) to get the lever right into the correct position with forward and reverse gear wheels running completely free.

Nordy from Germany

Re: adjusting gear shifter

I found it, you can center the shift lever outside the engine case in neutral position by screwing the shorter shift rod into the yoke (it's the assembly in the gear case which connects the shift rod with the cltuch dog).
First you have to disconnect it from the upper long shift rod.

Nordy
