This is my first time rebuilding an inline 4. I have rebuilt quite a few small block Chevies however, and I want to make sure I am adjusting the lifters correctly. Are they adjusted like small blocks? (Take out the slack in the push rods and turn another half to three quarters of a turn? I know about making sure the cylinder is on the top of the firing stroke, etc) This is on the Mercruiser 2.5 liter GM motor. I'm not sure of the year - it is either an 86 or 88.
