Re: Any advice on E-Bay?
Consider all this advice, which IMHO is outstanding in wisdom. IF you still want to bid on an item, do not bid based on the standard increments, ie even $.25, $.50 or $1.00. If you bid on unusual cents you have a better chance of winning a close bid. Say the item you want is currently at $10.00. If the increments are $.50 and you bid say $12.50, if the current high bidder has a proxy bid of $12.50 you lose, but if you bid 12.67, guess what, you win! Because even though your bid isn't the next increment higher, it is still higher. Likewise, if you max bid that same item at $16.93, you would be the high bidder at $13.00. If the person you beat out bid again with this advice at 16.87, you'd still win. Don't use .01,.51,.49,.99, etc as these are common too.

Always read a persons negative feedback and check out the item if possible. I have had good deals with sellers with 3,4,5% negatives because some people don't pay attention to the description adn then whine about it in the feedback. Like anywhere else, BUYER BEWARE!
